 Major Heaphy

Major Heaphy - ? ? GB B S orangered red-bas. orange

"Orange" fuchsias have become very popular in recent time. There are not so many true oranges (!) and Major Heaphy is not one either but he is often referred to as 'orange' although its actually brick-red. Sepals are lighter red-orange He has a very bright coloured profusion of flowers of medium size. The growth is strong, upright and vigorous and flowers appear on lateral shoots without pinching.
Doesn't like a dry environment. Will drop both buds and flowers.

Raiser and date unknown (British)
