Heston Blue

Heston Blue - Rawlins 1966 GB B SD white blue-bas .white

A very nice cultivar with beautifully shaped and coloured flowers. The very long pistil (unfortunately not seen in this picture) adds to the elegance of this cultivar.

Rather thin, but stiff, upright branches and fairly self branching

(I was once given this cutting directly from England, under the name "Heston Blue" but reading in Boullemiers "Checklist..." I get confused. Boullemier says Heston Blue is semi-double to double but my Heston Blue always gives single flowers.

Anyone to help me out?)
