 A stranger to me

Strong growing, straggly, not very self branching, loose, large (semi-) double flowers. Very spreading (more than in pic) anthers, larger than Annabel for example.
Very dark green foliage, rounded leaves, not often opposite but spread out on the stem. Stems vary a lot in thickness. Some very thin and some fat and juicy.

Cutting sent to me directly from California in 1987.

Wouter had a suggestion on April
MMM Had yet another suggestion
June Hurley suggested 'La Neige'
