Genii
Genii - Reiter 1951 USA B S red purpleblue
2-3 cm wide - 3-4 cm long
This is a very hardy hybrid of fuchsia. Probably closely related to the magellanicas.
The features of Genii are the bright, golden foliage and the clearly red stems (Nothing wrong with the picture...)
The plant reaches a height of about 50 cm each summer here in Stockholm and then, like all the winter hardies here in The Cold North, freezes down to ground level.
Excels in the sun if planted as a perennial. Difficult to grow in a pot, but do have a try if you get a chance.
