Doreen Redfern

Doreen Redfern - Redfern 1983 GB B S white->pink redpurple

One of the very many free flowering varieties...

5-6 cm wide - 5-6 cm long
A single, white and lavender blue beauty. Very free flowering and a good self-brancher. If you like pastel coloured flowers this one is really one for you.
As with all blue colours, in fuchsias at least, the blue slowly changes to reddish as the flower matures. And as far as white and pastel colours they always come out best in the shade. I have been told that red is a protection against sunburn (is that why I turn pig-pink in the sun?) so all white fuchsias for example get a lot more red in them if exposed to sunlight.

Introduced (and raised by?) R&J Pacey (British) 1983
Parentage Cloverdale Pearl X Marin Glow
