Celia Smedley
Celia Smedley - Roe 1970 GB B S l.pink red
Celia Smedley is one of the more popular cultivars among fuchsiasts. Once
you have had her in your collection you can't be without her. A few years
ago Celia Smedley was voted the most popular fuchsia in Denmark. No wonder...
The growth is extremely vigorous and in one growing season Celia can form
a bush of one meter covered in white and red flowers. Stiff, robust upright
growth and self-branching
The flowers are large and crispy. Tube and sepals stay almost pure white
in shade but turn reddish in the sun. Since Celia is one of the not so many
cultivars that can tolerate sun quite well, it's your choice.
The corolla is single and has a magnificent strawberry-red colour with a
slight touch of white at the base. Pistil is long and white. (see picture).
Highly recommended cultivar.
