(F. boliviana is all red)Each 'trumpet' is about 10-12 cm long. The natural habitat is southern Peru to northern Argentina, high up in the Andes. 1000 - 3000 m.ö.h. (3000 - 10000 feet)
Grows to a small tree or bush of about 4 m. (12 feet)
Foliage is large and hairy. Leaves can be more than 20 x10 cm.
The fruits are sold in markets by the Indians, just as we sell strawberries.
