Annabel
Annabel - Ryle 1977 GB B/T D white white-vd. pink
Double. The white tube is rather long and striped pink, the long broadish sepals are white, slightly flushed pink. The white double corolla is veined pink. Very free flowering for a double. Growth is upright but rather lax. As all near-whites Annabel will give almost purely white flowers in shade and the more sun she gets the pinker the flowers.
Foliage has the feature of new leaves beeing yellowish. It looks like lack of fertilizer but is normal to this lovely cultivar.
Annabel might need some staking but makes on the whole a good bush plant. She branches freely without pinching.
One of the best near-whites.
Parentage 'Ingram Maid' X 'Nancy Lou'
